Romich Foundation provided a grant in the 2011 season for the purchase of a rolling toolbox and in the 2012 season to support the purchase of a demonstration robot base.

Prior to the 2011 sesason, Fairview had collaborated with McDowell High School. By 2011 interest had grown to the point to justify a Fairview team. Romich Foundation takes pride in being part of the initial financial support for this program.

Inspired by observation of the Fairview robotics experience, Romich Foundation suggested to Northwestern High School in West Salem (Wayne County), OH that a robotics program would complement the strong STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) curriculum that had been built there over recent years. In the fall of 2011, the Northwestern High School RoboHuskies program was launched with participation in the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC).

On March 23, 2012, during the Buckeye Regional FIRST Robitics Competition (FRC) in Cleveland, the RoboHuskies team members visited and enjoyed an evening of interaction with the Fairview team.
