We were packed and ready for departure from the motel at 9:00 AM. We needed to stop to top the tanks so did that right away, knowing that we didn't have far to go. When Dave and Ed pulled out and entered I-25 north, they didn't see Barry in his usual position behind. For the third time on the trip, his machine was unhappy right after fueling, and it took a bit to get it running smoothly enough to hit the interstate. Dave and Ed waited at the Evans Avenue exit and they proceeded together when Barry arrived.

The EagleRider location was right where it was supposed to be. But it was quite different from the Los Angeles site. There was one woman there and she handled the full process of checking us in. She had to check mileage, fuel, and look for damage. She did note that they were all rather dirty and we let her know that they were now carrying a bit of Monument Valley.

The Los Angeles trailer was sitting in the parking area and the motorcycles were probably on and heading back later in the day.

Barry had shipped a box with a duffle to EagleRider. He also got another box from the transmission shop next door. We were packed just in time for the arrival of the SuperShuttle ride to the Denver airport that Dave had organized the morning before. The airport is a good distance to the east and we allowed an hour for this. But the SuperShuttle scheduler wanted us to be ready even earlier. The ride to the airport ended up including a tour of Denver as we picked up two others, arriving at the airport two hours before flight time.

About 15 miles for the day, plus a thousand or so by air.

This trip was a very good thing to do. We saw lots of beautiful country in a fun way. The total distance traveled on the trip was about 1400 miles. We're already talking about next year, so stay tuned.
