Bravo! Adventure
December 3

Jules and I first came to life around 7:00 AM. (We were now in the Central Time Zone.) Doug and Elaine had been up for some time. Elaine was preparing for her departure by car for Florida, our destination as well. Elaine had spent much of the recent days planning and shopping for our dining needs for the trip and we toured the various food storage locations in the galley. We did breakfast, took some photos and bid farewell to Elaine.

Doug and Jules and I then walked over to the Stennis Dam and Lock. Doug had been monitoring the radio and was aware of a towboat pushing a barge upstream toward the lock and realized that we had some time before we'd be able to go through.

The marina facility is just a few years old, with laundry facility, nice restrooms, and a small store. Doug and I used their telephone connection for email. When he heard I was from Ohio, the proprietor said that he had been captain of a vessel on Lake Erie some years back, sailing out of Rattlesnake Island near Port Clinton.
